In every step of our production, we take special care in regards to water management, improving air quality, saving energy, and reducing material waste.

Protecting Nature

We’re from Colombia, a country known for its natural beauty and for being rich in minerals. Colombia has a wide range of ecosystems and is the 3rd most bio diverse country in the world according to the 2021 Biodiversity Index.

It also has the 3rd most water in the world with hundreds of rivers, thousands of lakes, and a coastline on both the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean. We’re committed to protecting the environment, not just for our country, but for the world.

  • Water Management

When it comes to water, we keep it clean. We treat all the water we use in our creation process. Our state-of-the-art dyeing machines let us optimize our water use, and they’re routinely checked, undergoing strict maintenance to make sure they’re operating as efficiently as they should be.

  • Energy Management

We’re committed to using electric energy efficiently through our rational use plan, which has allowed us to reduce our energy consumption by 10% over the years. Our factory runs on hydroelectric energy. We use a set of solar panels to generate electric energy using only sunlight. We plan to increase our renewable energy to 15% in the coming years.

  • Eco-Friendly Materials

We take “reduce, reuse, recycle” to heart. We’re a slow-fashion brand that makes pieces designed to last, not to be thrown out after one wear. We use recyclable paper bags in our stores instead of plastic bags. The tags on our products are also made of recyclable paper. We package our products in corn-based, compostable bags. We’re committed to reusing materials whenever possible. We use eco-friendly materials to make some of our garments and plan to increase the number of eco-friendly products in the coming years.

Quick facts about our sustainableefforts

How we reduce scrap fabric

Our fabric scraps are used to create new products, sent to a company to create new raw materials, or sent to a company that converts them into briquettes for cement kilns.

How we reduce waste in our manufacturingfacilities

Our production plant workers use reusable containers, such as drawers and organizers, that are made from leftover fabrics and other waste. Our distribution center uses long-lasting plastic crates, instead of cardboard boxes, to store and transport our garments.

How we save plastic

We’ve switched to smaller blister packs for our garments to cut back our plastic use by an extra 5.5 tons per year. In total, we’ve reduced our plastic use by 66.5 tons per year, but our goal in the coming years is to increase that by 38 tons by ceasing to use plastic bags for our clothes entirely. We also make garments, like swimwear, out of recycled plastic bottles.
